KILL_CHAIN
A downloadable game
KILL_CHAIN is a fast paced sci-fi first person shooter inspired by movies like "The Matrix".
PROTOTYPE PHASE: EXPECT SOME LACK OF POLISH.
PROTOTYPE 1 is a test of how the combat feels, along with testing the environment destruction. The prototype arena level was inspired by the "lobby scene" from The Matrix.
PROTOTYPE 2 is a rough test of how missions in the game will work, i've now thrown in a shotgun that you can switch to by pressing "2". I also added a kill chain bonus system where chaining kills rapidly gives you temporary speed and damage buffs.
GAMEPLAY: Kill enemies to add to the timer to avoid dying. Each kill also gives you 2 seconds of bullet time and keeping up the pace of kills gives you damage and speed boosts. You also get health back from killing. Remember to pick up the mags from the guns they drop on death!
Later iterations of the game will focus more on linear missions with various aesthetics and gimmicks, along with some sort of melee system and more weapons and enemy types to make the combat more dynamic and engaging.
FUTURE PLOT OUTLINE: You play as a corporate assassin gone rogue, the corporation you worked for has now activated a suicide chip in your head. You have discovered a glitch in the chip network where killing other agents keeps the chip from exploding, your goal is to kill your way through hordes of agents, kill all the executives, and then get to the mainframe and shut down the network before the chip explodes.

The part where kill chaining becomes vital will come later as the design falls into place more, glad you liked the combat. I'll try posting new demos somewhat regularly to get more feedback.
